New restaurant openings reported in Matsudo and Nagoya

Several food service establishments are expanding or opening new locations in Japan.

In Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, the sushi restaurant Sushishirakawa is scheduled to open its Matsudo branch on August 10, 2026. Located approximately one minute from Matsudo Station, the restaurant will serve fresh seafood sourced directly from Toyosu. Additionally, a new Mos Burger location is planned for the Rokukodai 8-chome area in Matsudo, situated along Kusunoki-dori.

In Nagoya, Dom Dom Food Service has re-entered the market after a 10-year absence with the opening of the Dom Dom Hamburger Osu Mansenji-dori branch. The store features exclusive menu items, such as a Nagoya miso-flavored crab burger, and offers collaborative merchandise with the ramen chain Sugakiya. This expansion is part of a broader business revitalization strategy following an MBO in January 2026 involving Sugaki Co. Systems and Vegitech.
