New retail businesses open in Marktoberdorf and Taucha

Several new business developments are occurring in German towns. In Marktoberdorf, Bäckerei Lipp has opened a new location at the train station following several weeks of renovations. This marks the bakery's third branch in Marktoberdorf and its seventh in the Allgäu region. The new site, managed by Pia Ott and Simone Weber, will offer baked goods, coffee, and a cake counter.

In Taucha, Philipp Petzold and Michael Marks are set to open a new business named ‘Gleis 1’ on November 3, 2026. The establishment will take over the former post agency on Wurzner Straße. In addition to postal services, the shop plans to offer stationery and a broader range of products to ensure economic viability, following a similar business model used by the owners at their existing kiosk in Borsdorf.
