Several new retail establishments have opened in Japan. In Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, the Kasho Shoman Kusatsu store held its grand opening on August 8, 2026. Located within Rock Bay Garden adjacent to Michi-no-Eki Kusatsu, this marks the brand's first directly managed location. The shop offers a variety of traditional Japanese sweets, including 34 types of daifuku, mitarashi dango, and hon-warabi mochi.
In Suginami City, Tokyo, the bakery BREAD & BEAN by B² officially opened its Nishi-Ogikubo location on August 13, 2026. Situated in the Nishi-Ogikubo Elevated Structure (Nishi-Ogikubo Koka-shita) between Nishi-Ogikubo and Kichijoji stations, the shop provides a range of products including scones, financiers, baguettes, and croissants. The establishment also offers dine-in services featuring items such as French toast and egg benedict, alongside various coffee and alcoholic beverages.
