New RGB LED TV models launch with MiniLED and MicroLED technology
Radio Popular in Portugal is selling televisions that use MiniLED RGB and MicroLED RGB technology. The MiniLED RGB and MicroLED RGB panels generate colours directly at the light source, delivering brighter, deeper blacks and more vivid hues. Featured models include the 55‑inch ALG 55MRGB88B6B priced at €299.99 and the 116‑inch Hisense 116UX priced at €15,999, both promoted with AI‑powered picture optimisation and in‑store demonstrations.
LG Electronics announced its LG Micro RGB evo TV, a model that earned a CES 2026 Innovation Award. The set uses a Micro RGB backlight with much smaller LEDs than previous LG LED TVs and is driven by an Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor with Dual AI Engine for simultaneous up‑scaling. It supports full BT.2020, DCI‑P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces, features over a thousand dimming zones with Micro Dimming Ultra, and runs on webOS with Voice ID, AI Picture and Sound Wizards, plus AI Concierge and chatbot functions.
