New robot vacuum models released by Dreame and ALDI

New developments in the robot vacuum market highlight a range of consumer options, from high-end steam technology to budget-friendly models.

Dreame has launched the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete, which features a central steam system heating water to 180 °C. This technology is designed to tackle tough stains and, according to testing by SGS, can remove 99.999% of bacteria. The device includes MopExtend technology, allowing the mop to extend 8 cm to reach edges and obstacles, and utilizes AquaRoll real-time hot water washing.

In the budget segment, ALDI is introducing the Ambiano robot vacuum, priced at approximately €79.99. This model offers vacuuming and mopping capabilities via a 2-in-1 water and dust reservoir. While it includes a mobile app with gyroscopic path visualization and anti-collision sensors, it lacks the advanced LiDAR mapping found in premium models and is intended for light maintenance rather than deep cleaning.
