New school sports and recreational facilities open in Slovenia and Croatia
New sports and recreational facilities have been inaugurated at primary schools in Slovenia and Croatia.
At Blanca Primary School in Slovenia, a new sports complex was opened, featuring a 160-meter circular running track, a multi-purpose court for football, handball, and basketball, a 60-meter track, and areas for long jump and shot put. The facility is designed to serve students during school hours and the general public for recreation in the afternoons.
In Croatia, Breznički Hum Primary School has unveiled a modern educational and recreational playground. The project, titled ‘Step for the School Yard’, was driven by the students' Council through the UPSHIFT program. Supported by the municipalities of Breznički Hum and Breznica, as well as local businesses, the new space includes playground equipment, rubber flooring, and benches, providing a safe outdoor area for children ranging from preschool to eighth grade.
