New ski lifts and upgrades debut at Argentine and Andorran resorts for 2026 season

Argentina’s major ski centers are rolling out new infrastructure for the 2026 winter season. Cerro Catedral in Bariloche installed a new four‑person chairlift in the Bosque Negro area and expanded its artificial‑snow system. Cerro Bayo in Villa La Angostura opened a covered conveyor for beginners and added a lakeside dining deck. Chapelco in Neuquén added two extra snow cannons and refreshed its terrain‑park features. Las Leñas in Mendoza fully reopened its Marte sector after reinforcement work and introduced contact‑less ticketing. In Ushuaía, Cerro Castor equipped its base with high‑speed Wi‑Fi and expanded its snowpark.

In Andorra, the Pas de la Casa sector of the Grandvalira resort will launch an eight‑seat chairlift, replacing three older lifts and increasing skier transport capacity by about 13 %. The €12 million project is part of a €27 million investment plan that also includes extending the Els Pioners cable car, building a beginner zone, and preparing summer activities. The local mayor, Laura Mas, highlighted that the upgrades aim to keep the resort operational year‑round.
