New soap opera productions announced in Brazil and Portugal

In Brazil, the vertical production ‘A Herdeira: Minha Filha Está na China’ has been released on the Sua Novela app. Directed by Vincenzo Richy, the drama stars Bianca Rinaldi and Osmar Prado. The plot follows a mother who discovers her daughter, previously believed to be dead, is alive in China, leading her to confront a powerful family to uncover the truth.

Parts of the production were filmed at the historic Hotel Nacional Inn Jaraguá in central São Paulo, utilizing various locations including the lobby, restaurant, and facade.

In Portugal, the SIC network has confirmed new cast members for ‘Avenida Portugal’, a remake of the successful ‘Avenida Brasil’. Isabela Valadeiro will portray Olga, the confidante of the character Monalisa, while José Raposo has been cast as Leleco, the patriarch of the Araújo family. The production features an extensive ensemble including José Condessa, Ricardo Pereira, and Sara Matos.
