New South Wales emergency services battle multiple fires

Multiple fire incidents have been reported across New South Wales. In the Hunter Valley, an industrial building in Aberdeen caught fire on Thursday morning. NSW Fire and Rescue and the Rural Fire Service responded to the scene on Macqueen Street, where firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. Residents in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution, and police managed traffic control near the Bedford Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

On the Far South Coast, a bushfire at Big Jack Mountain Road in Rocky Hall reached approximately two hectares by early afternoon. The NSW Rural Fire Service deployed seven appliances and an aircraft to combat the flames. The fire is currently at an advice level. During the response, police reported that a woman was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation after allegedly spraying an unknown substance toward a responder. The cause of the Rocky Hall fire remains under investigation.
