New South Wales officials report 150,000 pothole repairs

During New South Wales budget estimate hearings, parliamentary discussions focused on regional road maintenance and the management of potholes. Transport for NSW deputy secretary Matt Fuller reported that approximately 150,000 potholes were repaired over the last 12 months. Of these, roughly 16,000 were located in the Greater Sydney area, while approximately 135,000 repairs were completed across the regional NSW network.

Additionally, the hearings addressed agricultural concerns, including a pest control pilot program for Walgett announced by Agriculture Minister Tara Moriarty, which raised questions regarding biosecurity management and the use of aerial shooting or baiting.
