New Spanish dictionary helps parents decode youth digital slang
A new Spanish-language dictionary for parents has been released to help families decipher the rapidly evolving digital slang used by children and adolescents. The guide aims to bridge the communication gap caused by terms such as ‘cringe’, ‘NPC’, or ‘farming aura’.
Jorge Álvarez, CEO of the family security electronics company SaveFamily, stated that the dictionary is intended to help adults understand a language that changes constantly. He noted that while every generation develops its own informal language to build identity and community, the speed of modern digital trends presents a unique challenge for parents trying to maintain connection with their children.
