New specialized sauna facilities launch in Ichinomiya and Gujo City

New specialized sauna facilities are opening in Japan, focusing on distinct wellness experiences. In Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, At-in Co., Ltd. has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Makuake for ‘Super Sauna Ichinomiya’. Scheduled to open on September 8, 2026, this male-only facility aims to revitalize a former large-scale public bathhouse into a high-specification ‘sauna utopia’ that utilizes the expansive grounds to provide superior outdoor bathing spaces.

In Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, R. D. C. Co., Ltd. has opened ‘Zen -zen-’, a private, reservation-only immersive sauna facility in the Motofukuro area. The facility features an earthbag construction, creating a soil dome that provides a gentle, radiating heat rather than intense dry heat. The experience is centered on natural elements, including a Finnish sauna stove and a cold plunge bath supplied by continuous natural underground water maintained at 16–18 degrees Celsius.
