New sponsorships announced for women's handball and football leagues

The 25th anniversary season of the Czech-Slovak women's handball competition is set to begin on August 29 and 30. The league has secured a new partner, Doprastav, which has extended the competition's duration by three seasons. The upcoming season will feature 12 teams, including four from Slovakia. HC DAC Dunajská Streda enters the season as the defending champion, despite recent roster changes such as the departure of Eliška Desortová to the German Bundesliga.

In Slovak women's football, the top division will be renamed the Orange liga starting from the 2026/2027 season. The telecommunications company Orange is expanding its sports partnerships to support female players and increase the visibility of the sport. This partnership aims to foster talent and improve conditions for players, building on Orange's existing involvement in Slovak hockey and men's football.
