New Summer Gazpacho Creations Highlighted by MasterChef Winner and Food Columnists

MasterChef 10 champion María Lo has partnered with Alvalle to present three innovative gazpacho‑ and salmorejo‑based dishes for the summer season. The menu includes a tuna tiradito served with nectarine‑infused salmorejo, a burrata plated with tomato textures and a gazpacho granizado, and a red‑shrimp tartare finished with cherry. Each plate is designed for easy preparation, with portions for two diners except the single‑serve tartare.

A separate food column explores the broader appeal of gazpacho, tracing its Andalusian roots and describing classic and regional variations such as the white Estremadura version and the almond‑grape blend from Málaga. The piece offers practical serving tips—pre‑made, chilled, and self‑served—as well as a nostalgic recipe from the former Ritz restaurant in Newport Beach that features cucumber, bell pepper, tomato juice, and optional shrimp or crab garnish.
