New superintendents inaugurated at Namhae and Goyang education offices

New leadership has been established at two regional education support offices in South Korea.

Yang Won-cheol has officially assumed his role as the 38th Superintendent of the Namhae Education Support Office. In his inaugural address, Yang emphasized a commitment to cooperation with the educational community, stating his goal is to ensure all students in Namhae can grow through values of “responsibility, coexistence, and future education.”

In Goyang, Kang Hyeon-ju has been inaugurated as the 28th Superintendent of the Gyeonggi Provincial Goyang Education Support Office. Drawing on 37 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, Kang intends to implement a “field-oriented” administrative approach. Her primary policy focus includes the “Phone-Free School” initiative, aimed at encouraging students to engage in reading, arts, and physical education rather than mobile device usage.
