New Taipei City breaks ground on Wenzaijhen youth social housing

The New Taipei City government has officially commenced construction on the Wenzaijhen Youth Social Housing project in the Xinzhuang District. The project involves an investment of approximately 6.8 billion TWD to construct a 21-story building with four underground levels.

Once completed, the development is expected to provide 925 high-quality housing units. The site is strategically located near the Fu Jen Hospital, Fu Jen University MRT station, and the Provincial Highway 65, offering significant transportation and medical advantages. The facility will also include parking for 560 cars and 947 motorcycles.

Beyond residential use, the lower floors are designed to integrate diverse social welfare services. These include community day care centers for people with disabilities, women's service centers, childcare institutions, and a community activity center. The project aims to transform the former industrial area, which once housed over 6,000 metal-clad factories, into a modern, livable urban zone. Completion is projected for 2031.
