New Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau recruits 90 inspectors
The New Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau has announced a recruitment drive for 90 contract environmental inspectors. The positions include 30 primary roles and 60 reserve spots. In a first for the bureau, there will be no application fees for this recruitment cycle.
Applicants must hold at least a junior college degree and a valid small vehicle driver's license. The role requires working on a 24-hour, three-shift rotation to handle pollution complaints, on-site enforcement, and emergency responses to environmental disasters.
Following a successful probation period, the starting monthly salary is NT$34,775. Employees who demonstrate excellent performance after three months may see their salary increase to approximately NT$38,948.
The selection process involves two stages: a document review followed by a combined tablet-based written exam (40%) and an interview (60%). Candidates must also pass a practical typing test with a minimum accuracy of 80%. Applications must be submitted by mail or in person by September 11.
