New Taipei City expands medical and long-term care infrastructure

New Taipei City is advancing its healthcare and elderly care infrastructure through several key initiatives. The New Taipei Municipal Tucheng Hospital has officially launched its first affiliated residential long-term care facility. This facility is expected to provide 200 beds, creating an integrated system that connects medical services with professional long-term care to support the city's aging population.

Additionally, the New Taipei City Health Bureau is moving into the Sanchong Anxin Center to establish a smart public health response hub. This center will integrate intelligent monitoring for food safety, infectious disease decision support, and emergency medical management using GIS and real-time monitoring technology.

Other ongoing medical developments include the completion of urban planning changes for the Third Medical Building of the New Taipei Municipal United Hospital, the signing of contracts for the Banqiao Medical Park to host a large-scale teaching hospital, and ongoing construction of the Ruifang Medical Long-term Care Building.
