New Taipei City honors 22 schools with Teaching Excellence Awards
Twenty-two schools in New Taipei City have been honored with the 115th Teaching Excellence Awards. The recipients include six high schools and vocational schools, three junior high schools, seven elementary schools, and six kindergartens. Among these, 13 schools have been recommended to participate in the Ministry of Education’s national-level selection process.
The award-winning programs focus on integrating local culture, ecological environments, and sustainability into specialized curricula. Notable top performers include Yongping High School for its global advocacy initiatives, Chengfu Elementary School for its ‘Four Creations’ curriculum centered on the Sanxia ‘Sanjiaoyong’ area, and Shuangxi Elementary School’s kindergarten for its field-based learning modules.
New Taipei City Education Bureau Deputy Director Ou Ren-hao emphasized that excellence stems from long-term teacher collaboration and connecting classroom learning to real-world scenarios to prepare students for the future. The city government provides additional financial incentives to support these teaching teams in their continued professional development.
