New Taipei City launches seafood festival and consumer lucky draw

New Taipei City has launched the ‘2026 New Taipei Hai-pai’ series of events to celebrate the autumn and winter fishing seasons. Announced at a press conference attended by Mayor Hou You-yi, the initiative aims to promote local seafood resources, including Wanli crab and Gongliao abalone.

Key highlights include the ‘Weekend Live Crab Market’ at Yeliu Fishing Port from September 25 to November 29, featuring crab lucky bags and fishing experiences. Other events include the ‘Fugi Hai-pai Feast’ on October 9 and the ‘Hai-pai Garden Party’ at Guihou Fisherman's Market on October 17–18.

To encourage local consumption, a promotional lucky draw will run throughout October. Customers spending over 3,000 TWD at 60 designated partner restaurants and shops can enter to win prizes, including a SYM 4MICA scooter, hotel accommodations, and seafood gift boxes.
