New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Si-chuan draws number 3

Kuomintang mayoral candidate Li Si-chuan has drawn number 3 in the ballot for the New Taipei City mayoral election. His campaign office, led by director Chiang Yi-chen, announced that the number 3 symbol will be used to represent a successful transition of leadership from current Mayor Hou Yu-ih.

Li's campaign platform includes over 20 specific policies, such as the ‘Rail Construction 123’ plan to create a 30-minute core living circle for the dual-city region, AI technology industry corridors, and urban renewal initiatives. Other proposals focus on childcare, including universal childcare subsidies and improved community facilities.

Separately, Democratic Progressive Party councilor Chen Nai-yu has accused a local chairman from Li's campaign office of verbal intimidation following her reports regarding illegal campaign poster placements. Li's campaign has denied these allegations, stating the interaction was merely a greeting between acquaintances and characterizing the claims as election-related smear tactics.
