New Taipei City names second administrative center ‘Sanchong Anxin Center’
New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih has officially named the city’s second administrative center the ‘Sanchong Anxin Center.’ The announcement was made during a National Day flag-raising ceremony attended by approximately 6,000 citizens.
The center is designed to drive balanced development between the northern and southern regions of the city. It will serve as a hub for integrated governance, housing command and monitoring centers for the police, fire department, health bureau, transportation bureau, and labor bureau. The facility aims to implement a ‘five security’ governance model focusing on public order, public safety, traffic safety, food safety, and occupational safety.
Additionally, the center will utilize smart technology to improve service efficiency and disaster resilience, while incorporating net-zero and low-carbon sustainable building concepts. The development is part of a broader ‘four major urban centers’ blueprint for New Taipei City, which includes the Sanchong area, Wenzai, and Sanxia.
