New Taipei City promotes digital traffic fine payments via mobile apps

The New Taipei City Traffic Adjudication Office is expanding its digital services to allow citizens to query and pay traffic violation fines via mobile payment applications. This initiative aims to eliminate the need for in-person visits to adjudication offices, saving time and reducing travel for residents.

Currently, eight mobile payment providers are supported, including Jiekou Pay, Shopee Pay, iPASS Money, PiBiJiao, Orange Pay, Yuanta Bank, Yongfeng Daka, and AllPay. Statistics show a significant shift toward digital methods; the proportion of fines paid through diverse online channels rose from 76% in the previous year to 86% as of late September this year.

To assist users, the office has released instructional videos and provides smart customer service on its official website to guide citizens through the mobile payment process.
