New Taipei City promotes youth employment program to aid career transitions
The New Taipei City Labor Affairs Bureau is promoting its ‘Youth Comprehensive Employment Program’ to assist young people in transitioning between career stages. Since the beginning of 2024, the program has successfully helped 595 young individuals secure employment through systematic guidance and continuous support.
The initiative focuses on addressing common challenges faced by job seekers, such as inadequate resume writing and interview preparation. One success story highlights a physics graduate who transitioned from part-time cinema work to a stable role as an equipment engineer at Nanya Technology, with a monthly salary increasing from approximately 25,000–30,000 TWD to 50,000 TWD.
Eligible participants include non-regular workers aged 18 to 29 who are registered residents or living in New Taipei City. The program offers various forms of financial assistance, including counseling subsidies, career transition incentives, and vocational training subsidies of up to 45,000 TWD.
