New Taipei City tourism factories receive Ministry of Economic Affairs recognition

Two tourism factories in New Taipei City have been recognized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs as ‘2026 Excellent Tourism Factories’. The awardees are St. Marie Danish Bread Manor, located in Tucheng District, and Vigor Cake Pineapple Cake Dream Factory, located in Wugu District.

St. Marie Danish Bread Manor has received this distinction for the third time. The facility utilizes VR tours, process demonstrations, and interactive DIY activities to teach visitors about baking techniques and food ingredients. Vigor Cake Pineapple Cake Dream Factory focuses on Taiwan’s representative pineapple cakes, offering transparent production lines and technological interactive facilities to showcase traditional pastry culture.

The New Taipei City Economic Development Bureau stated that tourism factories serve as a vital medium for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. Since 2009, the city has supported local enterprises in integrating manufacturing with tourism, education, and cultural experiences. Currently, New Taipei City hosts 18 tourism factories and industrial culture centers spanning the food, beauty, and daily necessities sectors.
