New teacher induction programs launched in Trinidad and Tobago and Bermuda
Educational authorities in Trinidad and Tobago and Bermuda have recently celebrated the induction of new educators into their respective school systems.
In Trinidad and Tobago, the Ministry of Education recognized 212 early-career teachers following their completion of an eight-month Teacher Induction Programme. Delivered online via Microsoft Teams during the 2025–2026 academic year, the program aimed to bridge the gap between theory and classroom practice. Minister of Education Micheal R. Dowlath addressed the graduates, emphasizing the responsibility of nurturing young minds and recognizing student potential.
In Bermuda, Minister of Education Diallo Rabain welcomed 12 new teachers to the Bermuda Public School System during an orientation held at Bermuda College. The Bermuda Teacher Induction Programme is designed to support new educators as they begin their roles across the island. Minister Rabain encouraged the new staff to prioritize building meaningful relationships with students and to commit to continuous self-learning and reflection.
