New theatrical productions debut in Córdoba and Mexico City

The Argentine play “Cuando las luces tiemblan,” written by Mirian Velázquez and Daniela Copertari and directed by Marxela Etchichury, returns to the stage with a performance on Saturday at 21:00 in the Centro Cultural La Piojera (Av. Colón 1559) in Córdoba. The drama, which blends magical realism with themes of gender violence, family memories and personal turmoil, runs for 70 minutes and is rated for audiences over 16.

In Mexico City, the stage production “Plot Twist,” written and directed by Dulce Zamarripa, opened at the Foro La Gruta of the Centro Cultural Helénico. The performance intertwines two stories that explore love, loss, memory and decisive encounters, accompanied by live music and audiovisual elements. The show premiered on 24 July 2026 and is presented as a “concert‑scenic” experience.

Both productions highlight contemporary Latin American theater, featuring original writing, live music, and multimedia staging.
