New theatrical productions debut in Croatia

Several new theatrical productions have premiered in Croatia, highlighting collaborations between established institutions and emerging talent.

In Sisak, the City Theatre Sisak, in partnership with the Istrian National Theatre in Pula and Kuća Nahero, is presenting “Hirošima, ljubavi moja”. Directed by Rajna Racz, the play is based on Marguerite Duras’s cult screenplay for Alain Resnais’s 1959 film “Hiroshima mon amour”. The production features Judita Franković Brdar and Marko Kasal.

In Vinkovci, the Joza Ivakić City Theatre, in co-production with Ludens Teatar from Koprivnica, premiered William Shakespeare’s comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Directed by Jasmin Novljanović, the production brought together experienced actors and third-year acting students from the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, marking a significant professional milestone for the young performers.
