New theatrical productions debut in Mexico
New theatrical productions are arriving in Mexico, featuring works that explore social and existential themes. In Mexico City, Abraham Baños presents ‘(Sólo) un bosque’ at the Teatro Helénico. Written by and starring Baños, the play uses puppets, masks, and artisanal scenery to tell a fable about a silver bear and a gray wolf. The production explores themes of loss, friendship, and the cycles of life.
In Saltillo, Colectivo AIRE will premiere ‘Curva Peligrosa,’ a play written by Pilo Galindo. The production will be staged at Casa la Besana from August 29 to September 13. The story follows three friends and addresses contemporary social issues, aiming to engage both young and adult audiences through a new generation of local theatrical expression.
