New themed online slot games Space Mutants and Close Encounters launch

New themed online slot games are entering the market, including the upcoming Space Mutants by NowNow Gaming and the newly released Close Encounters.

Space Mutants, scheduled for release on October 26, 2026, utilizes a 6-reel, 6-row grid with a cluster-style winning system rather than traditional paylines. Developed for the Hacksaw OpenRGS ecosystem, the game features a headline RTP of 96.31%, a maximum win of 10,000x the stake, and mechanics such as cascading wins and a Space Chaos Bonus.

Close Encounters has launched on platforms including CryptoSlots and Slotland. This 4-reel, 14-payline title features an Area 51-inspired theme with UFOs and secret agents. The game includes various Wild symbol mechanics and a bonus feature triggered by UFO scatter symbols. The CryptoSlots version of the game is also compatible with VR technology.
