New TV spin‑offs announced: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe on HBO Max and Stranger Things: SIX on Webtoon
HBO Max has launched the first spin‑off of the long‑running sitcom The Big Bang Theory, titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. Created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady, the series shifts from the original multi‑camera comedy to a single‑camera sci‑fi comedy, following comic‑shop owner Stuart Bloom as he is drawn into a multiverse after a quantum accident involving the original show's characters.
Separately, the Stranger Things franchise will expand with a digital spin‑off called Stranger Things: SIX, adapted from the 2019 Dark Horse comic. The series will debut on the Webtoon platform and is set in the 1970s, focusing on Francine, known as Six, a precognitive girl imprisoned in Hawkins National Laboratory. The story follows her attempts to escape the lab’s experiments and the relationships she forms, notably with a character named Three (Ricky). Both announcements were reported in Italian media outlets.
