New US‑history TV series launch on Netflix and HBO Max

Netflix has released a new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “Little House on the Prairie,” created by Rebecca Sonnenshine. HBO Max debuted a satirical miniseries titled “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: an Almost History of America,” created by Larry David and Jeff Schaffer. The comedy commemorates the United States’ 250th anniversary and features guest appearances by former President Barack Obama, actor Samuel L. Jackson, and a host of other celebrities. The show lampoons foundational events in American history and streams on HBO Max.
