New wellness and spa destinations open in Glasgow
Glasgow has introduced two new wellness facilities catering to both business travelers and local residents.
The Hilton Glasgow has launched the Serenity Suite, featuring technology-led, touch-free wellness sessions designed to fit into busy conference schedules. The suite utilizes the Welnamis system, which combines audio-vibrational therapy with a heated water cushion bed to provide stress relief and focus enhancement. These 30-minute sessions are designed to be completed without changing clothes, allowing delegates to recharge between meetings. The facility also includes a Wave Suite for water-jet massages and traditional therapy rooms.
Additionally, Atera Bathhouse & Spa has opened an underground Mediterranean-inspired destination on Oswald Street. The facility features a 12-meter hydrotherapy pool, Finnish and ceremonial saunas, a botanical steam room, a Hammam, and cold plunge pools. Atera offers a variety of services including the European Aufguss sauna ritual, fitness facilities equipped with Technogym, and a Pilates Reformer studio. The venue also includes a café serving a plant-forward Mediterranean menu. Access is available through daily visits starting at £75 or monthly memberships.
