New World Development’s Yuen Long Qiuyu Over‑Subscribed in First Sales Round

New World Development’s Yuen Long Qiuyu residential project recorded more than 5,000 buyer registrations ahead of its first‑round sale on 14 April, representing an oversubscription of about 35 times the 138 price‑list units offered. Four additional platform units were also put up for bidding, bringing the total to 142 units.

The development offers 1‑ and 2‑bedroom flats ranging from 289 to 413 sq ft, with prices after a maximum 16 % discount of HK$393,100 to HK$585,800 (average price per sq ft HK$13,660). A fixed‑rate mortgage scheme with a 2.73 % interest rate, a HK$3,888 loan‑drawdown incentive and up to 12 months of waived home‑insurance premiums was promoted, targeting primarily Hong Kong buyers (80 % of registrations) and mainland Chinese buyers (20 %).
