New York authorities crack down on Hudson Valley and Rockland County drug operations

Law enforcement agencies in New York have secured convictions and indictments in separate narcotics investigations.

In Rockland County, two defendants, Tyrone Stewart and Frantz Beauvais, pleaded guilty to felony drug charges as part of “Operation Spring Cleaning.” Stewart admitted to selling crack cocaine in Nyack and faces an expected sentence of four years in state prison. Beauvais, who has a prior violent felony conviction, admitted to selling crack cocaine in Nyack and is expected to receive seven years in state prison. Both are scheduled for sentencing on December 15.

In a separate case, the New York Attorney General’s Office announced a 153-count indictment against ten individuals involved in an alleged cocaine trafficking operation in the Hudson Valley. The investigation, which utilized surveillance and wiretaps, resulted in the seizure of over one kilogram of cocaine and more than $12,500 in cash. The alleged activity spans communities in Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess counties. Defendants face felony narcotics offenses, with the top charge carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years.
