New York City startups secure major funding rounds in AI and fintech
Several New York City-based startups secured significant venture capital funding on September 16, 2026, focusing on artificial intelligence, fintech, and healthtech sectors.
Stuut, an AI platform designed to automate accounts receivable processes, raised $67.6 million in a round involving eleven investors. The company has now raised a total of $103.1 million in equity funding since its founding in 2023.
Evvy, a precision medicine company specializing in vaginal microbiome testing and AI-powered diagnostics for women’s health, secured $40 million in Series B funding. This round was led by Catalio Capital Management and brings the company’s total equity funding to $59 million.
Footprint, an AI-native compliance and identity platform providing KYC, KYB, and AML services for financial institutions, raised $25 million in Series B funding led by QED Investors. The company has raised $45 million in total funding to date.
Additionally, the fintech credit marketplace Tare secured $13.25 million in funding.
