New York City to giveaway marathon grandstand tickets

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced that New York City will provide 350 free tickets to the TCS New York City Marathon grandstand seating. Located at the finish line in Central Park, these seats offer a view of the final 200 meters of the race.

In partnership with the non-profit New York Road Runners (NYRR), the city has launched an online drawing for the tickets. The drawing remains open until October 26 at 11:59 p.m. Winners may receive up to two tickets each. To enter the drawing, participants must be New York residents aged 18 or older, though a second ticket may be used by a person of any age.

The marathon is scheduled for November 1 and is expected to feature 60,000 runners traveling across the five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan.
