New York City winter seasonal attractions prepare for opening

New York City is preparing for the launch of its major winter seasonal attractions in Manhattan. The Rockefeller Center ice rink has officially opened for its 90th anniversary season, featuring a public art installation by Kenny Scharf titled ‘Scary and the Dancers!’. The installation includes a 34-foot inflatable sculpture and a series of free children’s art workshops held every Saturday in October.

Additionally, the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park is set to return for its 25th season on October 28. The event will feature an ice skating rink with free admission, an open-air marketplace with over 180 vendors, and seasonal dining options at The Lodge. The Bryant Park festivities are scheduled to run through February 28, 2027.
