New York Comic Con 2026 features major anime announcements

At New York Comic Con 2026, several major anime announcements were made. A trailer was released for ‘NARUTO x NINKU’, a special four-episode crossover anime. The project follows Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura as they are transported to an unknown world where they meet a character named Fūsuke. The collaboration serves as a tribute to Koji Kiriyama’s ‘Ninku’, which creator Masashi Kishimoto cited as a significant influence on his own work.

Additionally, the third season of ‘One Punch Man’ received a new trailer, with the second part of the season confirmed for a January 2027 release. While the series continues to see high viewership numbers during the Monster Association arc, the trailer has faced criticism regarding the animation quality provided by studio J. C. Staff, particularly when compared to the high standards set by the previous studio, Madhouse.
