New York Comic Con celebrates 20th anniversary with industry focus

New York Comic Con (NYCC) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, held from October 8 to October 11 at the Javits Center. The event features a heavy presence from the toy and collectibles industry, with major companies including Hasbro, Bandai Namco, McFarlane Toys, Funko, Jazwares, and eBay participating.

In addition to fan-focused activities, the convention has expanded its professional programming. This includes the third annual NYCC Retailer Day and sessions at the River Pavilion covering marketing, licensing, and the business of fandom. The event also features a partnership with Coney Island, bringing a variety show to the Javits Center.

eBay Live will host over 30 live streams throughout the four-day event, offering auctions for graded comics, signed books, and various collectibles. The programming includes sessions with industry veterans and creators, such as Todd McFarlane and Dan Buckley.
