New York Fashion Week IP Sold to Signet Fashion

William Morris Endeavor (WME) has transferred the intellectual property, trademarks and logos of New York Fashion Week, NYFW and NYFW: The Shows to media‑entertainment firm Signet Fashion for an undisclosed sum. Signet, which develops and monetises IP across film, television, live experiences, gaming and digital media, said it will build on the event’s global legacy with expanded live programming, digital content, brand partnerships and year‑round audience engagement.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) retains ownership of the Fashion Calendar and the official NYFW schedule, continuing its governance role. WME, which acquired IMG in 2014 for $2.4 billion, is shifting focus to its representation business. Sources note that the social‑media channels associated with NYFW are among the most valuable assets. WME declined to comment on the transaction.
