New York Giants activate cornerback Paulson Adebo from injured reserve
The New York Giants have activated cornerback Paulson Adebo from injured reserve ahead of their Week 7 road game against the Houston Texans. Adebo, who is in the second year of a three-year, $54 million contract, had been sidelined since the start of the season with a knee injury.
Adebo is expected to compete for a starting role, particularly as Greg Newsome II has been ruled out due to a concussion. Adebo previously lost his starting position to Deonte Banks during training camp.
In related roster moves, the Giants placed inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds on injured reserve with a season-ending shoulder injury. Additionally, tight end Theo Johnson (neck) and safety Jevon Holland (concussion) were downgraded in status, with Johnson not traveling to Houston and Holland being declared out for Sunday's game. Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt was also elevated from the practice squad.
