New York Giants eye quarterback additions amid injury concerns

The New York Giants are exploring options to bolster their quarterback depth following a season-ending knee injury to first-round pick Jaxson Dart. With veteran Jameis Winston expected to take over starting duties, the team is looking for additional insurance behind him.

Free agent Jimmy Garoppolo has expressed readiness to play if placed in the right situation. Having most recently played for the Raiders and the Rams, the 34-year-old veteran offers significant starting experience.

Other potential targets include Justin Fields, currently with the Kansas City Chiefs, who has been suggested as a trade possibility. Additionally, Gardner Minshew has been mentioned as a name of interest due to previous coaching connections. The Giants currently possess approximately $12 million in salary cap space to facilitate these moves.
