New York Giants head coach reportedly attempted direct trade for Jeffery Simmons

In an unusual move, New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh reportedly contacted Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk directly to attempt to trade for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons.

According to reports from The Athletic and ESPN, the Giants had previously engaged with Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi, who initially declined trade requests. While the Titans eventually decided to listen to offers, Simmons was ultimately traded to the Chicago Bears in exchange for multiple first-round picks.

The Giants, currently holding a 4-2-1 record and leading the NFC East, previously traded Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals for a 2026 first-round pick. Despite their efforts to acquire Simmons, the Giants have not secured the defensive reinforcement and are reportedly still searching for talent before the November 10 trade deadline.
