New York Giants revamp offensive line and kicking roster
The New York Giants have upgraded their offensive line, adding All‑Pro caliber left tackle Andrew Thomas, first‑round guard Francis Mauigoa and center John Michael Schmitz Jr. The veteran pieces around them are expected to give rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart a more stable pocket and reduce the frequency of second‑and‑long situations.
At the same time, the Giants are in the midst of a kicking competition. Undrafted rookie Dominic Zvada has impressed in practice, going 13‑for‑13 on field goals at minicamp and edging out incumbent Ben Sauls, who entered the season after a series of injuries and turnover among kickers. Zvada could become the team's primary placekicker if he maintains accuracy under game pressure.
