New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo listed as day to day
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo is considered day to day following a hamstring injury sustained during an overtime victory against the Houston Texans. Skattebo injured himself during a 42 yard run, which was his longest carry of the season.
As the team returns from its bye week, Skattebo has been practicing on the side with a trainer. Head coach John Harbaugh indicated that Skattebo’s status for the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles will likely be a game time decision.
The Giants' running back depth is currently limited. Tyrone Tracy Jr. is expected to miss the next four games due to a hamstring injury, leaving Devin Singletary and Gregory Desrosiers as the only healthy rushers on the 53 man roster. The team has also re-signed Eric Gray to the practice squad.
Additionally, offensive tackle Andrew Thomas is working through a groin injury but expressed optimism about playing this Sunday after using the bye week for recovery.
