New York Giants extend Jameis Winston and Jon Runyan Jr

The New York Giants have secured two veteran players with contract extensions through the 2028 season. Backup quarterback Jameis Winston signed a two-year, $13 million extension, while starting left guard Jon Runyan Jr. agreed to a two-year, $22 million deal that includes $21.5 million in guaranteed money.

Winston, 32, is expected to continue his role as a mentor and backup to starting quarterback Jaxson Dart. The extension provides the Giants with salary cap flexibility and rewards Winston for his leadership within the locker room and his role in Dart's development.

Runyan Jr., 29, solidified his position as the starting left guard after a strong preseason performance. The extension represents a pay increase over his previous contract and ensures continuity for the Giants' offensive line heading into the 2026 season.
