New York holiday attractions prepare for 2026 season

Holiday celebrations are preparing to return to New York for the 2026-2027 season. The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx will host its Holiday Train Show from November 14, 2026, through January 10, 2027. The exhibit features miniature trains traveling through a landscape of approximately 200 botanical recreations of New York City landmarks, constructed using natural materials such as seeds, branches, and pinecones. A new addition to the display will be a replica of the One Vanderbilt skyscraper.

On Long Island, several seasonal events are scheduled for 2026, including the Bayville Winter Wonderland, Jones Beach Magic of Lights, and the Eglevsky Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker at the Tilles Center. Other notable activities include the Santa Brunch at the Long Island Aquarium and the Polar Express Trolley Ride in Calverton.
