Geno Smith wears red glare‑reducing contacts at Jets training camp

Veteran quarterback Geno Smith, 35, returned to the New York Jets for the 2026 season and began training camp wearing red UV‑protective contact lenses. The lenses, described by Smith as a tool that blocks sunlight and gives a yellow tint to the field of vision, were recommended by eye specialists and previously used by former Jets teammate Santonio Holmes and other NFL quarterbacks.
