New York Knicks make roster moves with Akins signing and Wiseman progress

The New York Knicks have made several roster adjustments as training camp progresses. The team signed guard Jaden Akins to a two-way contract, filling the final of the three available spots alongside Kevin McCullar Jr. and Tyler Nickel. This marks Akins’ third contract with the organization this month following previous Exhibit 10 deals.

Additionally, center James Wiseman is emerging as a strong candidate to make the final roster. Reports indicate Wiseman had been working out with the team prior to his signing and is considered a favorite of coach Mike Brown. Observations from the first day of official training camp practices suggest significant coaching investment in Wiseman, with Brown providing direct instruction following the workout session.
